Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was admitted by the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she learned the flute piano and harpsichord for three years. Lennox grew up on a school allowance and part-time job for a way to increase her earnings. Lennox when she was in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was disappointed in her performance when compared to her fellow students. She began considering alternative options. Lennox played the flute in a band formed in 1976 called Dragons Playground. The group didn't appear on the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. Between 1977 and 1980 she was the vocalist in The Tourists. A British pop group. That was also where she met Dave Stewart with whom she will form The pop duo Eurythmics. Then, Lennox began to work on her solo first album Diva that was released in 1992. Commercially and critically, it was an enormous commercial success. Nostalgia Lennoxs single album of six was released in the month of October 2014. is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top blues music, soul and jazz songs. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox came out with Lepidoptera the collection comprising four tracks improvised by piano. The E.P. The E.P. is an accompaniment to an art installation she made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let you go... This album is her first that was released on her own. The latter part of the 70s was when Lennox gained some not-so-great acclaim as part of The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international recognition as Eurythmics. Lennox was able to begin her solo career in 1992, with the release of her first album Diva featuring many hit songs, including the hit songs Why and Walking through the Broken Glass. Medusa is her album of studio work from 1995. It features cover versions of songs like No MoreI love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale.
